MAP3

01 The Brief

A ticketing platform fans can finally trust.

MAP3, a 2023 startup, set out to fix ticketing and rewards: a platform with a built-in loyalty program, powered by Web3, that recognizes an artist’s superfans and rewards them for showing up.

The brief: build the brand, design the mobile app, create a landing page and produce the pitch deck for investors.

02 The User

Who it’s for.

I started with research into who the customer is and what they want. Eric, 28, a tech manager in NYC, goes to concerts, movies and theater and gets nothing back for it.

Mapping his journey showed what the app needed and where the pain points were: discovery, purchase and rewards.

03 Structure

Image-first wireframes.

Research showed users wanted quick, simple interactions, so the wireframes put imagery first. Search sits up top, events are full-bleed cards and everything else is one tab away.

No color or type yet, just the layout of the flow.

04 Color Theory

Blue for Web2, pink for Web3.

A gradient blends the two. Bright color on a near-black background keeps the event photos front and center.

05 Typography

Rubik and SF Pro.

Rubik carries titles and headers; SF Pro handles UI and body text. SF Pro is the iOS system font, so the app feels at home on iPhone.

06 Components

Components.

Icons, date chips and a four-tab bar keep the app’s two routes, finding events and collecting rewards, one tap away.

The primary button has a thin gradient line that fills when you press it.

07 The Final Product

The shipped screen.

This is the screen you just watched come together, as it shipped.

Big event photos, clear icons and simple navigation, built to give fans a reason to trust ticketing again.

That’s how MAP3 came together.
